Initiating a series of posts about Management in Brazil, we will begin talking about the Integration Management based on the concepts presented in the PMBOK (2013). Note that Brazil lacks objective and practical management concepts such as Projects Opening Terms (including strategic objectives of projects; definition of assumptions and constraints; designation of responsibilities and appellate levels, among others) and Projects Closing Terms (check incurred costs vs. projected costs, results analysis, etc.) in addition to the Project Management Plans. Also stands out in the Integration Management the need for communication and exchange of information with other areas of knowledge such as cost management, Scope, Time, Quality, Human Resources, Risk, Procurement, communications, Stakeholders, security, Environmental, financial and claims. What we see in the present days: inefficiency and ineffectiveness in the overall management of Brazil; priorities (EDUCATION, HEALTH, economy, security, TRANSPORTATION, infrastructure and others) being exchanged for luxuries, lack of agility, objectivity, clarity and above all practical actions.
